ZACH MAURER, B.SC.

Zach grew up farming in southeast Saskatchewan near Prairie Lithium's core project area. He entered the energy sector in 2009 and worked his way from a roughneck into consulting roles. During his consulting career, he managed environmental and hydrogeologic projects in Canada and the United States. In 2019, he incorporated Prairie Lithium. He has since lead multiple rounds of private equity funding and established Prairie Lithium as the first and largest active lithium brine developer in their project region. He holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Regina and is currently conducting M.Sc. research on lithium hydrochemistry in the Williston Basin. He also holds a Diploma in Exploration Information Technology from the South Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).

JARED MILLS

Jared is active in agriculture, real estate and resource ventures. As the President of Cross Borders Drilling, he built and operated one of the largest drilling rig fleets in Western Canada. Cross Borders developed many drilling applications that are currently applied throughout oil sands, potash, uranium, coal and traditional oil & gas drilling. At peak times, he led a team of over 250 people managing $100M in projects. He has a proven track record in operational management and project execution.

IAN IRELAND, PH.D.

Ian holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Alberta. He has over 20 years of industrial experience in fields ranging from ultra high sensitivity analysis of biomolecules, large scale organic synthesis and GMP manufacture of cancer vaccines, bioremediation, environmental consulting, waste to energy systems and industrial wastewater treatment. He has particular expertise in analytical chemistry, as well as product, technology and process development.  In his capacity as lead scientist and corporate officer, he has successfully developed technologies from lab scale to commercial deployment for industrial applications.

CARRIE SWANTON

Carrie has 15 years of experience in accounting and finance. Throughout her career, she has been involved in supporting strategic business decisions while driving corporate growth financially and operationally. She has spent much of her career in financial management and controlling positions in Saskatchewan's agricultural and mining industries. She is a member of the CPA Western School of Business and is completing her Chartered Professional Accountant studies.

MARK CAPLAN, M.SC., PH.D., P.GEOL.

Mark has over 20 years of experience in international energy resource development. He has a passion for sedimentology, stratigraphy, ichnology, geostatistical modelling, chemostratigraphy and data science. He has an M.Sc. in clastic sedimentology from University of Alberta and a P.h.D. in geochemistry/carbonate sedimentology from University of British Columbia. He is a long-time volunteer for the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists (CSPG) and has held two board positions as past director of Conferences and of Education. Mark is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Alberta. Mark is a Professional Geologist registered with APEGA.

CHELSEY HILLIER, B.SC., P.GEOL.

Chelsey has 15 years of experience in international energy resource development. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology with Honours, from the University of Regina. She has a diverse skill set in project management, investment analysis, sediment stratigraphy and geomechanics. In addition to her role at Prairie Lithium, Chelsey is actively engaged in investment analysis and trading. She has a drive for continuous learning and values teamwork. Chelsey is a Professional Geologist registered with APEGA.

JORDAN ALBERTON, B.SC., P. ENG.

Jordan holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and obtained a Certificate of Achievement in Applied Project Management from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). She started her career in the energy sector working on production enhancement for a well servicing company throughout southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. She later transitioned into quality and project management with a focus on large infrastructure projects. She is ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certified and is registered as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).

RYLAN MCLEAN

Rylan has 15 years of experience in Western Canada’s energy sector. Throughout his career, Rylan was responsible for executing innovative drilling programs for resource development across Saskatchewan and Alberta. Rylan is mechanically inclined with a proven track record of executing high level field projects. Rylan’s ability to visualize, implement and manage is an asset to Prairie Lithium’s process development.

MORAEA BIEBER, B.SCN., RN.

Moraea started her career in administrative assistance in 2014 working in Saskatchewan’s agriculture industry. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Saskatchewan and is currently a registered nurse. She continues to apply her administrative skills at Prairie Lithium, ensuring everything looks nice and birthdays are not forgotten.

INIMFON UDOETOK, PH.D.

Inimfon has 8 years of experience designing and developing biobased materials for adsorption applications. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Saskatchewan. He was a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Saskatchewan, where he specialized in the synthetic design and characterization of sustainable materials to remove cationic, anionic and amphiphilic contaminants from aqueous solutions.

MOJTABA FALLAH-FINI, M.SC., PH.D.

Mojtaba has over 5 years of experience collaborating with industry, academia, and research centers. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke and an M.Sc. in Sustainable Process Engineering from the Lappeenranta University of Technology in Finland. During his studies, he collaborated in demonstrating some of the first continuous solvent extraction processes for purification of lithium-rich brines and direct lithium extraction from discarded batteries.

VALAN NAMQ, B.SC.

Valan is currently finishing his M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. Before this, he obtained his B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from the Komar University of Science and Technology in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. From 2016 to 2019 he also spent time working as a Production and Drilling Fluid Engineer in Kurdistan-Iraq.

Sakib holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and a Degree level certificate in Computing from the University of Saskatchewan. He gained experience in process development working on rare earth element and potash projects.

WAYNE PAPROSKI, CPA, CA

PARTNER, MNP

Wayne is a Tax Partner with MNP where he has practiced for 20 years with a specialty in domestic taxation.  Wayne has spent the past 13 years working closely with private oil and gas service and production companies in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba and has served as a director for E&P companies and oilfield service companies. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, as well as a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Saskatchewan, the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Canadian Tax Foundation.

ARNFINN PRUGGER, PH.D., P.GEO

GEOPHYSICIST, PRUGGER INNOVATIONS 

Arnfinn currently serves as the Board Chair of the International Minerals Innovation Institute and is the President of Prugger Innovations. Arnfinn spent most of his career at PotashCorp (now Nutrien), starting as Mine Geophysicist and working his way up to end his career there as Vice President, Potash Technical Services. During his time at PotashCorp, Arnfinn held Board seats at the Saskatchewan Potash Producers Association and Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile S. A. (SQM), a major lithium mining company with operations in South America and Australia. Arnfinn is a past Distinguished Lecturer for the Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM) and he holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of Saskatchewan.

RICHARD McHARDY

Mr. McHardy has been a founder of several public oil and gas companies and has extensive experience in leadership roles with both public and private companies. Mr. McHardy is currently a founder and the Executive Chairman of Spartan Delta Corp. He was also founder, Director, President & CEO of Spartan Energy Corp., Spartan Oil Corp., and Spartan Exploration Ltd., and a founder, Director, and President of Titan Exploration Ltd. Mr. McHardy currently sits on several other boards of both public and private companies and has extensive experience in matters relating to corporate finance, capital markets, strategic planning and corporate governance. Prior to his leadership roles in the energy sector, Mr. McHardy was a partner at one of Canada’s largest national law firms where he practiced securities and corporate law.
